There has been an explosion of kids summer camp offerings in recent years from Lego Robotics Camp to Surf Camp to Comedy Camp and beyond, so we figured that Plant Camp would be a great addition. We have been consistently pleased with the participation of our kids as well as our young friends from the neighborhood. They looove potting the plants, but we also see signs of responsibility as they enjoy caring for their new plant babies. We'll be honest that the long-term success rate is not 100%, but they give 110% when it comes to trying.
Sounds great! Where do we sign up?
While there is no cabin-filled paradise on the edge of a mountain lake, we did find some fun ways to offer our kids memorable and engaging plant craft projects to enjoy. The Plant Club's monthly subscription is a regular hit with the young ones, but we've also enjoyed the Terrarium Kit, the Kokedama Moss Ball, and the Zen Juniper. We can give them two green thumbs up from our kids to yours (or even you if you just need a little project to take you away for a bit).
We'll let you know as soon as we have our Plant Camp destination ready, but it may be a while yet. For now, enjoy our fun & easy plant craft projects...or just get you kids involved in repotting some of your older plants. It's hard to go wrong when the family is having fun getting their hands dirty together.
